Grammar at KS1: Securing the basics

This interactive on-line CPD session will focus on building firm foundations for reading and writing through demonstrating creative approaches to explore terminology; looking at effective strategies to teach early sentence construction; supporting children in developing a wider range of sentence constructions; and the importance of using high-quality texts to support. Consideration will also be given to progression from EYFS to KS1 and meeting end of year expectations at KS1.

This course is suitable for NQTs, RQTs, returners to teaching or teachers new to a key stage/area of English or teachers who would like a refresher and some new ideas.
