Letters and Sounds: next steps

Following the recent announcement by the DfE regarding the validation of systematic synthetic programmes, a number of concerns have been raised around the future of ‘Letters and Sounds’. 

This session is aimed for schools who are considering continuing with the ‘Letters and Sounds’ framework and are keen to review and develop phonics provision across the school

  • Key messages for schools following the Letters and Sounds programme

  • Pace and progression in phonics

  • Developing and enhancing current provision for phonics
